Guitars, sailing, diving, good food, good wines and good company.A good British Drama on the box.

Garbage TV (that'll be most TV then), Rap, garage, urban and any other white noise.

Age 51 going on 17, work in the Telecomms industry as a Line Manager.
Live in Winchester (nice place). Ex-Royal Navy Comms. I spend 2 weekends a year in the company of other Ex-Royal Navy Hooligans drinking far too much and misbehaving. All good fun.
I've played guitar for 37 years. Very undisciplined - hardly any technique (I can never play the same song twice without changing something!), but I'm happy enough. Would love to play with other people - it's a great way to learn!

Just as Keitha said... I like the 50 going on 17!  Sounds pretty normal to me - and I'm only 55 going on twenty-eight and three-quarters!  I've only just joined ALife and am still trying to whiz around the site getting to know what's what and where.  Oh yes and another thing; not just similar music taste and reading but anyone who likes sailing has my vote!  Am an "old gaffer/gunter/small traditional cruiser" fan myself.  Would happily settle for a Shrimper or Wee Seal II - sadly though I don't think Santa could fit one in his sack!

Have taken up the guitar again for the first time in absolute yonks but am making myself go back to basics.  I have a Tanglewood and a Takamine.

Daffo1 and all your friends may I ask you/you all a question please: can you offer this "yearning to relearn the guitar" female - anything from James Taylor to Transatlantic Sessions type 'music' - where best to start?  I love it and want to teach myself from the ground up!!

All hints gratefully received - preferably understandable ones by this Westcountry/Devon lass!

Thanks for your comments about my guitars.

Where you've said above that you play with no technique, it must be a technique cos it sounds just like mine!
