I'm a left handed guitarist ,i was shunned for being one when i studied music at college.But i would never change the way i play because it makes me unique.The only thing that does annoy me about being left handed is the lack of instruments i can try out before buying.
Thats until i found Guitar Village in Farnham ,the staff are knowledgable and helpful and they have so many left handed guitars available for you to try out.
It really does make a difference to have a choice as i currently play a tanglewood guitar ,but after comparing the tanglewood guitars to others i found a guitar that was more what i was looking for.
So it pays to check out all your local music shops as i found the best one around
