Progress always seems slow at first, so don't worry that's normal.

Just a little something to share with you:

On a forum I was on some players that had made a lot of progress remarked on how their fingers seemd to have "shrunk" as they made progress. I guess as dexterity improves and skills increase you begin to focus more on what you are doing, and less on what you can't do.

My advice to any beginner would always be that the minute you begin to feel frustrated put it down and walk away, take a break! Frustration is no learning aid at all, only a hinderence.

Keep at it Phil.

And as for the weather here, sunny during the day although not always too warm & cold at night. A lot of foggy nights too. As we only have about 8-10 weeks of winter we'll soon be looking at the return of the warmth.

Although to be honest I've not noticed the weather too much as I've been extremely busy setting up a new guitar playing forum with a friend of mine. I could always email you a link if you just want to have a nose around on it, or maybe you could be a beginner "guinea pig" for us!

How's the progress going Phil? Are you begining to get the hang of anything yet?

I do hope you get it all sorted out Phil. I've not had any dealings with that company, but it's offputting when you feel that they've not been exactly honest with you. I mean if that guitar comes with gigbag and tuner, but you're paying extra for it, how is that a special offer??? I think you were right to cancel the order.

Just as a guideline though I have bought 2 guitars and my mandolin mail order, and for each shipment I've been charged between 30-40GBP for shipping to Spain (the 40GBP was a UPS trackable delivery, 4 days).

Good luck with your search.

By the way Spain is a bit cool at the moment and we've had an awful lot of rain. Malaga is supposed to be very nice although I've not been there so I think you'll enjoy your visit.

Have you sorted yourself out with a guitar yet?

Hi just to say welcome, nice part of the world you come from.
