MY RATING: 0.00

Playing guitar and avoiding doing the gardening.

Any good music, especially with an acoustic slant.

LOTR, cheesy adventure novels, historical novels, musicology..

Thanks for responding to friend request Mark. Good stuff. Be interesting to hear sometime how your CD is coming on -  love your style and tone, and the recording quality of the tracks you've posted so far has been excellent. Hope it's coming on nicely!

Great tunes - well played, amazing quality recording, what did you use? I'm pleased with the quality of the WAV recording, but there is still a hint of tremolo (through headphones) oh well.

Cheers, Jonny

Nocturne, great. It would make a great last track on the Album.

Hi Mark

thanks for the comments you left. I checked out your page, some great sounds there. Especially liked what you done with them Robert Johnston licks on deltoid blues and Lamentation certainly has that 'down home' feel.

Hi Mark, I've added a couple of your recordings to my Soundclick playlist, wonderful, but I have to ask..... What is "Orkney tuning" please?

Hi

Hows it going. Do you know anything about acoustic basses? A friend of mine wants me to play bass in his band. I’m not sure if I should be pleased or insulted.

Hi

thanks for the (sound) advice. It seems to make a lot of sense to me, so I’ll be off to my nearest guitar shops at lunch in search of my perfect sound.  I’m loathe to spend a fortune as I don’t feel my playing justifies it but I really can see the point in a guitar that you’ve just got to play, thats got to improve my playing and pleasure. Ps. Lamentation v nice.

Hi

Sorry its taken me a time to reply.

Its my daughters harp I thought it looked a lot better than myself or my guitar.

Whats your guitar? Im asking everyone for advice on what to try before I buy a new one. I pick and strum neither very well but I enjoy myself mostly DADGAD. Have you any advice?

Cheers Carl.

I can't see how to reply to your message Mark. Is this like MySpace then, where I can't see what's gone before? I don't really dig that at all. Oh well. Yeah, it is as you say, all I need is another time sink. And the usernames have to be a minimum of six letters so I can't use my proper name. I'll hang around for a while and see what I think of this place. It might be nice to have a UK based time sink! I do enjoy the magazine, more so than I do the US AG mag.

Great playing on all your tracks, I'm seriously impressed. I might be able to play like that one day (when I'm about 65).
