Thanks Bert Weedon for initiating my interest in the guitar! I've been playing since 1962, largely self-taught (apart from Bert's "Play in a Day" book all those years ago). The Shadows and the Beatles formed my early playing style, soon expanded by various folky styles in the mid-late 60's.
Acoustic fingerstyle guitar has remained my main interest since then. Also play a bit of electric bass guitar when I get the chance, and I dabble from time to time in mandolin family instruments and ukulele.
Currently playing guitar in diddley-dee sessions, ceilidh band and as worship leader in village church band. Also do a bit of part-time guitar teaching (mostly beginner classical at the moment) since being forced into early retirement.
Still lots to learn. Love this forum.
