Solo acoustic instrumental albums can be a trial, but not so this one. Malsom is a slick player, and interprets his material well, though like many solo players, it can sometimes feel that he’s rushing. There’s quite a breadth of material on Bump and Bite, with Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ providing one of the highlights of the album.
