Despite Marshall’s association with hard hitting electric guitar tones, since 1994 the iconic Bletchley-based amplifier brand has been producing their popular Acoustic Soloist Series, which has sold over 148,000 units worldwide.
Designed to be ultra clean and highly versatile, the AS Series has been well road tested over the past two decades and is today used by prestigious artists across the music industry, including Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour, James Dean Bradfield from Manic Street Preachers and acclaimed solo acoustic guitarist Pierre Bensusan.
Now the AS50D is available as a very Special Edition. Made-over in very cool Cream Levant covering, this remarkable looking combo will set any acoustic player apart from the crowd. The ‘two-tone’ effect of the Cream Leveant and the AS Series stock Brown- Fleck Levant handle with Brown Nylon Mesh grille cloth is striking – combining sartorial good looks with proven workhorse usability.
There are only 400 of these fantastic looking Special Edition AS50Ds available in the UK, so to get your hands on one you will have to be quick.
Created for a variety of different acoustic instruments, the AS50D has a range of input features, so it can accommodate instruments with magnetic pickups, piezos and microphones, whether passive or condenser.
The digital FX, which includes studio-quality Reverbs, are assignable to either or both channels, and can be balanced with FX in the FX loop. The AS50D is the perfect amp for intimate acoustic gigs.
Its longevity and continued popularity are testament to the AS Series’ straightforward design and its great sound.
