Rockschool, the world’s leading contemporary music exam board, has partnered with Takamine for a scholarship programme aimed at aspiring acoustic guitarists.
The scholarship will reward outstanding academic achievement, with Takamine providing four acoustic guitars for the first guitarists to achieve a distinction at grades one, three, five and eight (a GD10, GN30-Black, GN51 and GY93E, respectively).
Rockschool’s Nik Preston said: “Rockschool is incredibly proud to partner with such a giant of the acoustic guitar market. Takamine’s consistent dedication to quality and the hard working musicians that it supplies make them an ideal partner for our Acoustic syllabus scholarship.“
The scholarship programme will open in September 2016 and close in July 2017. Winners will be selected during August and announced in September 2017.
