The people from Traveler Guitar (they of the body-less Travelcaster electric model) have announced some new-for-2017 items – and as per their name, they should inspire you to get on the road and start hitting the gig circuit.
Describing their Traveler Acoustic AG-450EQ as the most compact, fullscale acoustic/electric travel guitar on the market, the team have equipped this instrument with a Streamline Tuning System (which, it says here, eliminates the need for a headstock, making the guitar 20 per cent smaller and 36 per cent lighter than full size acoustics). In an effort to make sure the size does not affect the sound, the guitar features a modified traditional bracing pattern – creating more volume and presence than you’d expect.
Just as importantly, if not more, you’ll be able to safely stash the instrument away in airline overhead compartments with the Deluxe Gig Bag that comes with it.
Meanwhile, the Traveler Acoustic CL- 3EQ Natural (pictured) is a cutting-edge 3⁄4 size travel acoustic guitar, similarly loaded with features including a built-in Shadow Nanoflex pickup, paired with a custom Shadow preamp, on-board tuner, and Shadow’s renowned headphone amp technology. The headphone amp also has an auxiliary input so you can jam with your favorite backing tracks.
Both models will be available from the end of June.
